Below are some examples of how hooves can change with regular trimming. To see more, please visit my Instagram account. Click on the pictures to see the original post.
15th December 2017: Thoroughbred racehorse … Happy functional feet. 14th December 2017: Restoring heels for an ex polo ‘pony’ (mostly thoroughbred with something else in there as well!) June to December. Still plenty of room for improvement but definitely in the right direction after getting the flare under control. ❤️ #horses #horse #equestrian#pony #horsesofinstagram #equine #barefoot#barefoottrimmer #wildathoof #instahorse#barefoothorse #barefootisbest#equinepodiatry #hoof #instagood #ponies#cheval #equinepodiatrist #horsestagram#caballo #ilovemyjob

11th December 2017: Lovely to see what clients have been up to in the snow ❄️ Bare hooves do not collect snow like shod feet… which means you can ride / turnout safely in the snow without the need for expensive snow pads. Fabulous picture 😍 (these are my clients barefoot ex racers!) #horses#horse #equestrian #pony#horsesofinstagram #equine #barefoot#barefoottrimmer #wildathoof #instahorse#barefoothorse #barefootisbest#equinepodiatry #hoof #instagood #ponies#cheval #equinepodiatrist #horsestagram#caballo #ilovemyjob

9th December 2017: **Progress Update** Remember this guy?! (I’m still having hacksaw flashbacks!) well it’s 6weeks since he had his shoes off and he has been comfortable in his Cloud boots. There is some good growth coming down too in line with the correct hoof pastern angle… still a long way to go … but am hoping with rate of growth vs size of horse we should see some speedy improvements if we can keep on top of everything 🤞#horses#horse #equestrian #pony#horsesofinstagram #equine #barefoot#barefoottrimmer #wildathoof #instahorse#barefoothorse #barefootisbest#equinepodiatry #hoof #instagood #ponies#cheval #equinepodiatrist #horsestagram#caballo #ilovemyjob

9th December 2017: Love Irish sports horses 😍(not bias in anyway lol!😜) This is a lovely transition out of shoes from September to December. Less thrush in sole and collateral grooves, frogs have improved massively, (still lacking proper callus and lots of flappy bits had to be trimmed off to allow for thrush management), heel and bar structures have improved, pigeon toes are straightening up and heels / hpa also improving. Good feet to start with just getting better and better with each trim. So pleased for this horse and her human ❤️ #horses #horse #equestrian #pony#horsesofinstagram #equine #barefoot#barefoottrimmer #wildathoof #instahorse#barefoothorse #barefootisbest#equinepodiatry #hoof #instagood #ponies#cheval #equinepodiatrist #horsestagram#caballo #ilovemyjob

2nd December 2017: Interesting little Arab hoof with medial flare – not to be confused with pigeon toes … though it regularly is! March to October. Hoof capsule has straightened out and the medial and lateral wall are now similar lengths (both times the hoof was trimmed balanced to the live structures) you can also see the growth ring has levelled out with the new growth. Also a note on top dressing the wall, I always tend to address flare with the purpose of influencing the correct hoof growth at the coronary band. With each trim the hoof improves … as such my top dressing decreases with the intention that once the hoof is where it needs to be it will not need top dressing, only monitoring for changes. #horses #horse #equestrian #pony#horsesofinstagram #equine #barefoot#barefoottrimmer #wildathoof #instahorse#barefoothorse #barefootisbest#equinepodiatry #hoof #instagood #ponies#cheval #equinepodiatrist #horsestagram#caballo #ilovemyjob #progress #transition #transformation
